Dr. Elle Sawyer, MBA, MACM is a multi-faceted creative force with high spiritual acumen. With a background in fashion and branding, she has spent over two decades empowering blue-chip brands such as Harper’s Bazaar Magazine, Modern Luxury Publications, Eileen Fisher & more. Dr. Elle has served on the boards of the YWCA, Mall of America Fashion Board of Directors, to name a few. Dr. Elle wrote her first book in seven days, titled Run Your Race: How to Keep Going When Life Wears You Out. She went on to write her second book months later titled, No Flowers Without Rain: The Value of Adversity. Dr. Elle now empowers existing and emerging authors in the complete writing & publishing process. Throughout her years of experience, she has served as Creative Director (along side her husband) for Goorin Bros — the foremost American hat company with stores internationally, worked directly with Paul Wharton (MTV, Bravo, VH1), has had multiple features in publications such as ESSENCE magazine for her dynamic personal style, as well as for her work styling clients during New York Fashion Week.
Dr. Elle is artist and painter, as well as proud Howard University Alum —where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Merchandising. Dr. Elle holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry — both with concentrations in Leadership. She is holds a Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling. Dr. Elle is a dedicated wife & mother, with a heart and conviction to lead souls into relationship with Jesus Christ. She operates E 1982, her art, design and branding firm. Along side her husband Jeffrey Lee (Founder), Dr. Elle operates Never 2 Fly 2 Pray — a fashion brand spreading the 2 Chronicles 7:14 message through the brands apparel.
To synthesize the range of contributions Dr. Elle has made over the years in the context of fashion, branding, design and ministry is to behold a picture in part with regard to the totality of her work. The thread running through it all is her desire to live out her God-given purpose fiercely — no matter what obstacles she faces along the way!
